Guarding the cassion

Yours' truly portraying an US Infantryman (at 'shoulder arms' ) from the Mexican-American War at the 3rd Annual International Rio Grande Delta Archeology Fair at Palo Alto Battlefield National Historic Park.

I am armed with an US Model 1816 flintlock musket. Behind me is an artillery caisson and underneath it (beside my right leg) you can see a 6 pound iron cannon ball attached to a wooden sabot we use to show the crowd.

This happens to be my second living history event. The last event I portrayed a Mexican Soldado. The uniform is borrowed until I can get my own, that's why the trousers look baggy and the belt holding my bayonet frog seems kinda slunk, just in case anyone is wondering.
